Changing the trajectory of my life.

I knew I was getting closer. That I'd finally be free and on my own.

After looking at multiple places for rent these past couple of months, I finally found one! I signed the lease today.

It's a studio along Lake Shore Drive but spacious for the price. And it has a lovely view of the lake.

But it's not perfect by any means. The kitchenette is tiny and dated and the bathroom is a disappointment but I do believe I can make it work.

And it's located minutes from Boystown so my chances of meeting someone should skyrocket dramatically just from living in that area. We shall see though.

But I do know this will change the trajectory of my life…hopefully for the better.

Yaaaaay! That's very exciting. There's nothing like having your own space. Especially with your artistic and homosexual tendencies, you'll enjoy making it a s(homo)howplace. Please take some pics and post them as things progress.

So happy for you, Dean! I hope that this is exactly the change you need and that you meet the man of your dreams. <3

As a side note, I've been reading your blog now for about five years. (So sorry I don't comment more frequently!)

I...am so...excited for you, Dean! This really is going to be a game-changer for you. Having your own space in which you can do your own thing and build your own life will be transformative. Well done, you!

Great news! It will definitely change your life. It sounds like a great location.

From the article about Lakeview, it sounds as if Our Lady of Mount Carmel church should be welcoming any time you want to give it a try. (Maybe you can meet a nice Catholic boy there. LOL)

Enjoy!

I've walked past Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church many times when visiting the Lakeview area but was never able to attend mass there.

But now that I'll be living so close by, I definitely can!

Hi there Dean,
A change will be good, EH! I'm sure you will make your new place bright and cheery. Maybe you can be inspired to do more painting again, I know I miss your work. The best as you prepare to move and pray that it will out really well. :)

Stan

Sorry I haven't checked in for a while. Still think of you often. Take good care....
