Today marks my four-year anniversary working at the crafts store.
I still feel like quitting everyday I have to go in but am thankful to have a job and proud to have lasted in one place for so long.
It's one of those milestones that depresses me more than anything though.
But it is what it is…for now.

I just had a milestone at work, too, and I also have mixed feelings about it. But, as you say, it is what it is. There are worse things to have than the same job for a long time.

It hardly seems like four years since you were writing about starting there. It's good that you've had it to provide some income and give you a workplace with some nice people who like you.

Randy, the only real room for advancement is to become a manager there--which I'd never do.
The pay is too little and the stress way too high. Just wouldn't be worth it to me.
I can't stand that job most days under my current role. Becoming a manager would multiply all of that by ten!
