St. Patrick's Bling!

I'm not Irish but it was a good excuse to wear my favorite color...green!

Last month, I showed you what I wore at work for Valentine's Day. This is what I began wearing at the arts-and-crafts store immediately afterwards.

Top o' the mornin' to ya!

Shamrock chains, a custom-made bow (by me!), and a green flower are just some of the things adorning my lanyard. I also added jingle bells leftover from Christmas so customers would hear me a mile away as I walked through the aisles.

Ten years ago I'd never have done anything like this. At that time in my life I'd always try to hide and not attract attention.

With that said, I still have anxiety when put in social settings and around large crowds. Perhaps in the 2+ years I've been working at the crafts store, I've become comfortable and feel safe to be who I am there.

Now I'm wondering what I'll wear once today is over with. After Easter the only real holiday coming up is the 4th of July. I'm sure I'll think of something though.

Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day, Dean. Loved the decorative and imaginative lanyard you wore, colourful as well as jingly! LOL You gotta keep up the trend now, customers will come in looking for you. So good that you are feeling more safe around folks, I know what you mean by that.
Take good care {{{HUGS}}}

My favorite color is green too!
I'm so glad that you are comfortable in your own skin and can dress to impress at work haha. I did the same thing. I wore a flashing green shamrock tiara, a jingle-shamrock necklace, and BRIGHT green tank top and a green beeded bracelet along with my green make-up and nails.
All you can do is be you and be happy doing it!!
I'm glad I'm not the only festive one out there haha.

Hey now....just wait a second there mister......you completely forgot about Memorial Day, a day to honor fallen veterans and for family (well usually me) to go to the cemeteries to cut grass, pull weeds, clean tombstones and markers, plant flowers, make sure US flags and their holders provided by the county are intact and blubber like a fool as I tell them how much I miss them but I tell my Mom I miss her the most. Can you believe there's a market for stolen brass flag holders from veteran's graves? Some people have no humanity.

Pretty, pretty. I don't know how you're ever going to top that. (So what's the lanyard like now?)

Mercedes!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I already wear a small flower now but could always use more!

Jaimie!

Carl!

Ha! I did NOT forget about Memorial Day but besides flags, what else could I wear? Plus, I was going to save the patriotic theme for 4th of July.

Keep in mind that I'm essentially wearing store product so am limited to what we currently carry. There really isn't anything on the shelves for Memorial Day.

Hopefully that makes sense!

Good question!

My lanyard is looking pretty bare at the moment. But I do have a flower attached to it and am wearing a primary-colored button necklace thing-y as well.

It'll have to do until the next big holiday arrives!

I appreciate all of you chiming in here!
